1923: Born in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, Japan.

1944: Graduated from the Metal Casting Department of Tokyo Fine Arts School.

1946: Awarded First Prize at the 41st Taiheiyō Art Exhibition for “Winter in Michinoku”.

1954: Received Honorable Mention at the 18th Free Artists Association Exhibition for “Window”.

1959: Held his first solo exhibition of stencil prints at Nihonbashi Gallery; gained international recognition.

1965 onward: Focused on oil painting, depicting still lifes, landscapes, and women with a subdued and poetic style.
