Brief Biography of Yoshio Mori (1908–1997)

  • 1908: Born in Azabu, Tokyo City.

  • 1929: First exhibited at the “1930 Nenkai Association Exhibition” with Winter Suburban Landscape.

  • 1931: Traveled to Paris via the Trans-Siberian Railway; accepted into the Salon d'Automne.

  • 1936: Received the Kainan Prize at the 6th Dokuritsu Art Association Exhibition.

  • 1939: Joined the Free Artists Association (Jiyu Bijutsuka Kyokai).

  • 1951: Began teaching at Musashino Art School (now Musashino Art University).
