Yoshio Mori (1908–1997)
Biography
1908 — Born in Azabu Ward, Tokyo City, Japan.
1929 — His painting Winter Suburban Landscape was selected for the first time for the Exhibition of the Association of 1930.
1931 — Traveled to Paris via the Trans-Siberian Railway and was accepted to the Salon d’Automne.
1936 — Received the Kainan Prize at the 6th Independent Art Association Exhibition.
1939 — Joined the Free Artists Association (Jiyu Bijutsuka Kyokai).
1951 — Began teaching at Musashino Art School (now Musashino Art University).
1964 — Participated in the founding of the Subjective Art Association (Shutai Bijutsu Kyokai).
1997 — Passed away.
