Yoshika Fujita (1929–1999)

Biography

1929 — Born in Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan.

1949 — Studied Western-style painting under Minoru Matsuda.

1955 — Graduated from the Department of Art Theory, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts.

1962 — Studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Spain, where he copied and studied classical paintings.

1970 — Received the 13th Yasui Prize.

1981 — Received the 1st Saburo Miyamoto Memorial Award.
